    Thank you for helping KAMRA.

    Thank you for helping KAMRA.

KAMRA exists to help alleviate the uphill battle for healthcare in Niger.

In May of 2007 Dr. William Kirker and his wife Barbara as well as two other doctors, Dr. Orietta Barquero and Dr. Stephen Humphrey set out for Maine-Soroa, Niger.

Their mission was to revitalize a hospital the Kirkers established in the 1960s during a stint with Peace Corps.

With the support of the Nigerien government and non-profits in the United States—such as MAP International and Medshare—these doctors are breathing new life into a once dilapidated hospital.

In addition, Barbara Kirker has established a school for children no longer eligible for normal public education.   KAMRA was founded to support these efforts and provide the necessary tools to help them fulfill this mission.

    Two Shipments on the way…….

    Two Shipments on the way…….

Much has been happening with KAMRA!  Not one but two twenty foot shipping containers are headed to Niger from MAP International.  One is loaded with various medicines and the other is filled with much needed multi-vitamins.  The shipment of medicines is valued at a little over a million dollars and the vitamins are right around $300,00.   All to be handed out free of charge at the Kirker Hospital in Maine-Soroa, Niger.   The first shipment is fully funded however we are currently seeking funds for the shipment of vitamins.  If you would like to help please click on the How To Give tab to make a donation.  Thank you for your support.  This wouldn’t be possible with out you.
